Overgrown trees pushing down fence

I live at 75 Freemans Way NN128QF and my back garden abuts the trees pictured at the end of Calvert Close. I am sure that when they were planted some years ago that they were smallish shrubs but they have grown into sizeable trees and are, and have been for the last few years, slowly pushing over the fence separating my garden from the close. I have spent some weeks clearing the pathway of branches, ivy and briars as best I can but the trees overhang not only my garden but also my neighbours to an extent that is beyond my efforts to resolve. Most importantly, the fence now leans and is increasingly worse for wear. It is not my fence but borders my property and I assume is the councils responsibility. Most worrying is the fact that the trees have also pushed over my gate post which means that I can no longer secure my back garden which, when I have two young children (4 and 6 years old) is very concerning. The matter is of some urgency and I hope to hear your thoughts on a possible resolution.
