Road closure sign

Reported via mobile anonymously at 13:30, Sun 10 March 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 5692027.

There is a road closed sign just as you join the Newport Pagnell Road from Queen Eleanor traffic lights, it says road closed at Gayhurst, this is probably 15 miles away & has confused drivers as they have seen road closed & gone an alternative way to get into Wootton area, 4 of whom almost went through bus lane, could this road close sign be moved nearer to the actual road it refers to, there are plenty of options the nearer to Gayhurst

Updates

  • Recent heavy rain has washed mud and debris down the pedestrian underpass at the Hardingstone end of the Queen Eleanor pedestrian underpass. The path is now covered in thick mud and the drainage grating is completely blocked again. This will result in the underpass flooding again when we get heavy rain. Not for the first time !!
