Having to swerve to avoid potholes and other road defects

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 09:09, Thursday 25 April 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 5896299.

The a45 over the m1 at j16 is littered with potholes and other road defects from the exit of the a4500 from Northampton onto the a45 towards Daventry. It doesn't matter where you position your car to drive around the road about, you will not miss several road defects.

  • The road is a risk to life to anyone on a motorbike the potholes are deep enough to throw a rider off. This needs to be completed as a priority!

  • This needs repair immediately. NOT with 26 weeks!!!!!!! It's incredible that it has been left to get as bad as it has. People are swerving all over the place to avoid the large holes, which is obviously very dangerous! With heavy HGV usage, it'll be unusable within a very short space of time!
