Investigating
29” x 23” x 3” Pothole close to Junction with A5
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Paul Davey-Turner at 11:08, Wed 22 May 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6006007.
Good morning
I am somewhat surprised that after your drain clearing team dealt with the blocked drainage they did not alert highways to this at the same time.
As this lane leads to the village school and is used by parents and children I would suggest that it needs your urgent attention
The build up of washed up road dressing and grit is now forming in to significant bumps and requires scraping / removing or else it will get wash down the drainage gulleys causing them to get blocked once again..
Thank you Paul Davey-Turner Firdale House 40 Tews End

My sincere apologies I put the location marker on cuttle mill lane whereas it should have been on Tews End Lane.

Please can you review this case as after the recent weather there is a real build of debris, grit and mud at this point along with the ever lasting pot hole problem caused by the on going issue with drainage blockage further up the lane by Hawthorn Barn.
