Overgrown bushes, brambles and weeds

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 18:19, Wed 29 May 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6036197.

I park at holiday inn and walk to waterside way. Vegetation including brambles overgrown into path the majority of the walk. They will soon be over the whole path. When it has been raining there are many puddles on path due to uneven surface which means you get wet or are in the bushes. When leaving holiday inn and turning right visibility is poor to the left due to overgrown hedge. With road speed of 40 can be dangerous trying to enter road

  • The brambles are growing almost completely across the path and you have to walk right on the edge of the path to get past, which is dangerous with trucks and car whizzing past you at 40mph. Also the condition of the path is very poor and floods when it rains which, again, means you have to walk closer to the road

  • The brambles are now fully across the path. They are at different heights face and body and catch on clothes. With the rain this morning the puddles on the road meant walking in you either got splashed or caught up in brambles

  • Hello the bushes/brambles on the corner of waterside way have been cut back. Not sure if this was done by highways or management for waterside way. The brambles are still coming into the path at multiple levels in height along the road. It is still very difficult to see to the left the oncoming cars when trying to turn right out of the holiday inn
