Major large pot hole

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6041559.

Major pot hole, caused blow out of 2 tires on my car. No markings, unseen as you turn corner after small canal bridge. On Station Road between Clifton and Anyho. Caused blow out of one tire, rear near side as dropped into large pot hole, and caused bulged tire at front. Damage to car, had to go on recovery vehicle. No markings on Road to warn of any issue.

We can confirm we have temporarily filled the pothole to ensure safety, and a permanent repair will be carried out within 26 weeks time.

  • A very thin layer of tarmac has been placed in the pothole, which is presumably the temporary repair attempt mentioned. However, the hole is still more than 100mm deep and a danger to road users.
