Passage Obstructed

Reported via desktop in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category by West Northamptonshire Council at 10:37, Tue 4 June 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6060167.

Yesterday. (Northampton Round footpath original route.) The first section from Holcot village, past the cricket ground and the sharp dogleg across a cropped field was excellent under foot. Once it turned back towards Pitsford it became rough underfoot for the next section. The bridge and bank immediately after were head high in stinging nettles. The next field (past the new building) was waist high in thick grass. The next passage through a hedgerow was knee high in nettles. It was then maintained for some time past "Moulton Grange Farm" and then degenerated on approaching "The Piggeries" to shoulder height Cow Parsley and Stinging Nettles. Over 6 foot tall and wearing shorts and T-shirt appropriate for the weather I was badly sting on both legs and arms.
