Investigating
Overgrown hedging and vegetation all along this side of the road
Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 23:03, Mon 17 June 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6120081.
The overhanging vegetation requires a road closure to enable the trees and vegetation to be cut back as often the vehicles drive in excess of 60 mph and their is a sharp bend beyond the overgrown area.

Someone came and cut the grass (not sure if that was WNC) but it was not the grass that was the issue, it is the overhanging tree and bush branches that obscure visibility up/down Northampton Road (with the added issue of a blind blend on the approach to Blisworth village). Please can you help these members of the public before there is an accident. The photo is taken from a stationary vehicle to demonstrate the danger as vehicles try to join the Northampton Road but the photo could only be taken with another member of the public monitoring the road for safety.

May I ask why this has been rejected and what further land investigations you propose to carry out as the visibility is still very poor due to the overgrown hedges and trees?

Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme), Defect Repair: Rejected - Thank you for your enquiry. The reason why this was rejected is because it is already on a scheme to be cut back on.
