Rats and smell

Reported via desktop in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 14:39, Fri 21 June 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6137586.

53/55 St Matthews Parade NN2 7HE. Rubbish is left to pile up in the front garden of this HMO, until it gets very large. On the day the photos were taken I saw a rat amongst it and the smell was horendous, with the weather getting warmer it can only get worse. When these proberties were in the planning stage one of the objections was the amount of rubbish these HMOs would generate and were told industrial bins would be provided, it aint happened and this is now the norm.

Updates

  • This morning (22nd July) it looked like some may have gone to be replaced with more. In the hot weather, the smell was even worse.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • It would appear the original problem with excessive rubbish is sorted in the front garden, there is no sign of larger bins and I do wonder where the excessive rubbish is now being stored.
