Pothole 2 feet wide, 6 inches deep

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 09:06, Sat 22 June 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6139517.

Leaving Woodford on the Byfield Road, one large pothole on nearside about 2 feet wide and 6 inches deep, just before the National Speed sign. On a left bend and so large cars are forced into the oncoming lane to avoid it. People have begun putting loose bricks in which is unsafe. Another similar size pothole a few yards beyond the sign, this time on a straight stretch. Another crumbling patch of tarmac developing a few yards further on again.

  • This hole and the others just along from it have already caused damage to vehicles. It'll only be a matter of time before an accident occurs between vehicles and/or cyclists. The stretch of road needs repairing before a nasty accident happens
