There is no no cycling sign at the top of the alleyway

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned road signs or cones after works category anonymously at 11:30, Wed 26 June 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6156771.

Please can you install a no bikes sign at the top of the alleyway. Today is the third week in a row I've had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit by someone on a bike. Theres a sign at the bottom (Ruskin road) but not at the top (Bective Road) where is surely makes more sense to be placed. It's a steep hill and someone will no doubt shortly end up injured.

  • Investigation: Completed (Reported to another department within WNC) - A corresponding 'No Cycling' sign will be programmed to be installed at this location.

However, enforcement of the prohibition is not the responsibility of the local highway authority. This would be with Northamptonshire Police.
