Overgrown vegetation on bridleway

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6177908.

On the Bridleway RD13 (Midshires Way) the path is no more than half a metre wide due to overgrown bushes and brambles. Also branches are making the path to low for horses. This is from the stretch by the stream from the Canal tunnel.

  • Investigation: Ongoing (Reported to a third party) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that the vegetation is the responsibility of the landowner. In accordance with the WNC Network Management Plan, we will contact the landowner and request they cut back their vegetation within 14 days of receipt of our correspondence. We will reinspect the vegetation to ensure they have complied.
