Over hanging tree

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6185315.

Residence have concerns over this tree which is overhanging the road. The branches are now hanging down.

  • Investigation: Ongoing (Reported to a third party) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that the vegetation is the responsibility of the landowner. In accordance with the WNC Network Management Plan, we will contact the landowner and request they cut back their vegetation within 14 days of receipt of our correspondence. We will reinspect the vegetation to ensure they have complied.

  • Please see comments from a resident. The overgrown trees / bushes opposite 92 Orchard Hill to the right of the alleyway have definitely not been cut back. No 74 Orchard Hill is further down the hill, by Oak Tree Close so have no idea what that has to do with this report. can you clarify if the tree is the responsibility of WNC. Thanks

  • The picture for this report is taken of a tree outside 76 Orchard hill - this has been cut back and was done on 26th July 2024. If this report is for those overhanging the alleyway then that is something else
