Previous Fix My Street Repair Ref 5648562 - pot holes appearing again

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6219536.

This road defect was previously logged with reference 5648562 first reported in February 2024 and was recorded as fixed on 12th May 2024. The repair was not sufficiently robust as to stop the surface from failing yet again today 11th July 2024. The road is in constant use by lorries going too and coming from Heygates Flour Mill (they alone have some 80 lorries as well as those of other haulage company's that use and supply their products. It is false economy to continually repair this junction in such a way as to just add asphalt to fill the potholes and smooth the surface. Considering the surface area, safety of road users and the location and usage of the road there needs to be a much more robust solution applied.

  • The problem with the road in this area is that many large lorry’s use this junction everyday and it really needs a must more robust surface for their wheels turning out of the junction. It will keep breaking up periodically until a proper repair is done similar to an A road or motorway.
