I can confirm that we have passed this information onto our enforcement contractor who will arrange for a visit to the location and enforce when necessary.
Regrettably, due to the geographical area our enforcement officer cover it is not possible to remain in one location for a prolonged period and there will always be occasions where vehicles will park in contravention of the restrictions in place without receiving a PCN, but this is certainly not unique to Daventry and Foundry Place. It is hoped that their increased presence makes a noticeable difference in the future as whilst issuing a PCN does not immediately resolve the parking issues described as we cannot remove vehicles, it is hoped that drivers will refrain from parking in contravention on future visits.
If, however, you feel that road safety may be compromised by the regular inappropriate parking of vehicles in this neighbourhood, we can only suggest that the best way forward would then be for you to pass on any concerns on to Northamptonshire Police. Parking a vehicle inappropriately where it is deemed not possible for drivers to safely manoeuvre, pedestrians to pass unhindered along the footway or that access to public or private property is impeded, should be reported to Northamptonshire Police’s Safer Community Team on 101 or via the Northamptonshire Police website: https://www.northants.police.uk/ #!/ Local
Furthermore, if you feel that the restrictions in situ are not fit for purpose or additional restrictions (no loading) are required at certain times you would be able to request that this is reviewed. You can request a change or request new restrictions on the following link: Request new parking restrictions | West Northamptonshire Council (westnorthants.gov.uk). I must note however, that any restrictions introduced would apply to all motorists.
