Investigation: Ongoing - Please advise of address where caravan is overhanging the footway so we can contact the owner/occupier regarding this issue of obstructing part of the footway.
With regards to the other parking issues, West Northamptonshire Highways do not have the enforcement powers to take any direct action against vehicles parking legally on the public highway unless there are parking restrictions in place which would allow us to enforce. You can contact the local Neighbourhood Policing Team by calling the non-emergency number 101 or by following the link on the Northants Police website: https://www.northants.police.uk/ . The Police can identify the owner by the registration number of the vehicle(s) and decide upon the relevant advisory or enforcement action to take. However, we have been informed that the police would only deal with parking issues where there is an immediate risk to safety and/or the parking constitutes an actual obstruction to traffic.
