Weeds on pavement

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6225543.

Can the brambles and weeds get cleared from the pavement please? This pavement is unsafe to use as it is now.

  • Investigation: Ongoing (Reported to a third party) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that the vegetation is the responsibility of the landowner. In accordance with the WNC Network Management Plan, we will contact the landowner and request they cut back their vegetation within 14 days of receipt of our correspondence. We will reinspect the vegetation to ensure they have complied.

  • The brambles have been cut back but, unfortunately, the moss over the pavement and weeds near the fence are all still there. I would call this a partial fix but that option isn't offered.

  • Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location, and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the vegetation at this location is not currently meet the intervention criteria. We will continue to monitor the vegetation as part of our routine highway inspection schedule. Should you notice this issue worsening, please inform us by raising a new Fixmystreet enquiry.
