Appalling road condition needs urgent repair

This single track road has been in a very poor condition for a long time and requires resurfacing. There are potholes, damaged verges, a broken road surface along a long part of its length and standing water.The village of Shutlanger is to have a 5 month road closure Oct 24- Mar 25 by Anglian Water preventing access to Towcester. This means traffic will be diverted from A43 by satnav up and down Showsley Road. Not only is this single track road not suitable for this traffic, the conditions will be appalling without urgent remedial works. The villagers should not have to use this single track road in the Winter in its current appalling condition to get to work, schools, shops, Drs for 5 months. Please carry out some repairs.
