Blocked drain- flooding

Reported via mobile in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 10:15, Tue 16 July 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6234920.

This is an ongoing problem. I have received notification today that the work to this issue has completed. This is NOT the case. Following rainfall overnight the issues continues with a blocked drain causing flooding. This has been reported on a number of occasions over the years and was reported again in December 2023. We were informed that we had to wait until July 2024 for the work to commence and it has not been resolved. We were hopeful that this would be a permanent solution to the issues but once again it has not. Please can this be escalated to the senior team for action.

  • Work was performed today to unblock the drains and clear the flooded road and pavement. This has immediately flooded again and not cleared. This needs a permanent solution as the temporary fixes are not working. Pedestrians are forced to walk in the road due to flooded pavement and road.
