Trees subject to TPO overgrown & overhanging road
Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 20:19, Tue 16 July 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6238223.
This problem with these trees was first reported in February 2024 under reference 5567179. Trees subject to TPO need lopping/pruning. They overhang the road and when in full leaf the branches catch on our high sided vehicle. This was previously reported in July 2023 under reference 101002751321. I was told WNC were not responsible and that Daventry Town Council were. DTC in turn referred me back to WNC. I emailed Michael Venton several times but had no reply. This work needs carrying out before the trees are in leaf again. When was the last time these trees were surveyed? This report was closed. I was told Unfortunately, at the time of inspection, no safety concerns were found, however, highways will continue to monitor the area on routine inspections. Now in July 2024 the trees have grown even more and in full foliage are overhanging the road by several meters. Cars are constantly parked opposite the overhanging branches so with a high sided vehicle it is impossible to avoid them and so they are in danger of damaging/scratching/defacing my vehicle. Please arrange for them to be reinspected .
