Vegetation obstructing foot and cycle paths

Reported via Android in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category by Monica de Bokx at 13:05, Wednesday 17 July 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6240929.

The vegetation on 2 sides of the flats in St Peters Close is not being maintained and is now nearly fully obstructing parts of the pavement, both next to Balliol Rd and the footpath en route to the town centre, and is overhanging the cycle path. It is unclear who has ownership of this area, land registry check came back blank, but, as it is obstructing these public highways, can the vegetation get trimmed back please?

  • Some of the greenery to one side has had a slight trim. It is unclear to me who has done this. The greenery next to Balliol Road is still overhanging; so badly so that the pavement is unusable. Another stretch further along the path leading to Western Avenue is very bad as well; pedestrians have to use the cycle path here.
