New barrier is way too short.
Reported via mobile in the Crash Barriers - Damaged / Missing category anonymously at 20:10, Wed 17 July 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6242988.
This new barrier that protects from a massive drop does not come far enough into the village. It is arguably too loo as well but the length is a serious and dangerous problem. Even at 30 with ice or mud on the road it would be so easy to lose control and this gap is wide enough for a car to go down. Further more if you hit the slope you would be catapulted into the air before you rolled to your death. Please tell me there are more bollards or something going into this gap asap.

Investigation: Completed (Temporary Repair Completed - A permanent repair will be carried out in the next 28 days.) - Thank you for your enquiry regarding the restraint barrier on Stoke Road, Blisworth. We are currently assessing feasible options for this section as we do have some installation constraints in terms of the existing infrastructure that is already in place on site. We have installed some temporary barrier highlighting the area of concern and this will stay in place until we have concluded our assessments.
We will of course update once we have completed our assessment.

This still hasn't been sorted out. There are just totally useless red barriers there and you have had months to do the work. Now the roads are getting muddy and soon icy. When are you fixing this?

Investigation: Completed (Temporary Repair Completed - A permanent repair will be carried out in the next 28 days.) - Apologies for the delay in returning to complete the barrier.
A road closure permit application has been approved for the week commencing 2nd December to undertake these works and the subcontractors are booked in. An assessment has been carried out by our road safety team and the missing barrier is not deemed high risk to be completed under an emergency road closure. The standard road closure permit application has to be submitted 3 months prior to the closure and was submitted at the start of September.
