Raodway damage
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6244331.
This area was poorly finished when laid and has detriorated so badly that cars now pass on the wrong side of the road. A team of people came earlier this week and what I can only describe as poor, inadequate, amateur repairs to the area that have made no difference to the area. It require a resurface for about 20 metres prior to the crossing. I am absolutely amazed that WNC consider this repair to be sufficient and it is terrible and has no solved the issue.

I can’t believe this has been fixed as acceptable. The whole area needs repairs around the children’s crossing. Why is it taking so long to be sorted out. It’s an accident sight waiting to happen.

This problem had worsened and needs urgent attention. Road surface is so bad for a long stretch that it makes it very difficult to brake and come to a complete stop before the zebra crossing, leading to a real risk of a collision with pedestrians on the zebra crossing.

I reported this in February 2024 and again in May 2024 as was in such a poor state. Whatever slight patching has been done has made no difference whatsoever to the danger of this part of the road. Whole area needs resurfacing and not patching up here and there.
