Uneven footpath and numerous trip hazards

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6256555.

Footpath in poor condition with multiple trip hazards outside no 154 and 156. Lots of elderly live in this location and at risk of falls. My registered blind mother has already tripped and injured herself. You are now aware of this hazard we expect it to be rectified. There is a 30mm height difference in places between wearing course and top of kerb.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 3 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 28 days. Our current average response time for a Priority 3 repair is 9.2 days.

  • Will you be completing this repair as, welcome as it is, you appear to have resurfaced the wrong part of the footpath and the part that really requires doing still has the large yellow arrows indicating where you should have carried out the work.

  • Bodge it and scarper aka Kier have done a complete bodge job as usual on this. Surfaced some of the paths but left may trip hazards.

    In addition they have left an open saw cut in the path which will now allow water into the surface and cause further damage.

    I will be raising a formal complaint about this directly to WNC
