Continuous long hole around roundabout

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6265580.

Where there is a join in the carriageway between the two lanes around the roundabout a deep crevasse has developed which is in danger of damaging tyres. The crevasse is almost continuous all the way around the roundabout so it is very difficult to avoid it.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 37.3 days.

  • This series of potholes was first reported on 23.07.24 with repairs promised within 26 weeks so by end of January 2025. Update on 16.01.25 blamed the failure to repair on the weather and gave a further timeframe of 6-8 weeks. As this timescale is now expiring when might the residents of Daventry see some of the promised £10 million extra for roads spent on repairing the road surface on all of this roundabout.
