Very large deep pothole on single carriageway road

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6274553.

Very large pothole/depression in carriageway, approximately 1.00m wide, 200mm+ deep on the road between Sibbertoft and Theddingworth. Situated approximately 100m south of the 'Home Farm' turning.

The depression has been marked up for the past 2 weeks. It may have a been a local who has used red paint. It is likely to result in damage to vehicle if not mitigated soon.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 2 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 7 days.
