Cover of telecommunications box not cemented back properly

Reported via desktop by Vicky Emery at 17:03, Wednesday 31 July 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6299705.

National Grid dug up the street in front and to the side of my property, 2 St Michaels Mount a month a go due to a street power cut. They have not cemented the cover as shown in the picture, every one walking over it, the cover rocks and makes the loudest noise. Right outside our bedroom window. They cemented the pathing slabs back but forgot the telecommunications cover in front of the 2 green telecommunications boxes to the side of my property. Please can this cover be fitted back into the floor properly. Noise is driving me up the wall!!

Updates

  • Since logging that the lid of the telecommunications in the pavement has not been put back correctly and tips and bangs when every person walks over it, I have nothing and not had an update. In this hot weather having our bedroom window open. All I can here is it banging over and over ?!

  • Nothing has happened since I reported this in July. Very loud wonky paving slap with lid to telecommunications lid not placed back securely. Every pedestrian walking over it makes it wobble and the loudest noise. Right outside our bedroom window !!! May not seem important to the Council but it’s driving me mad !!!
