Vastly overgrown bushes/ trees/ weeds

Reported via mobile in the Weeds category anonymously at 15:19, Tuesday 20 August 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6379128.

The previous report was closed as it doesn’t meet requirements for repair, which I am confused about. I couldn’t update so have had to open a new report. The whole area is so overgrown the bushes/weeds have taken over the whole green land right up to the kerb. The trees are overgrown and hanging on both sides of the patch, towards the high street, towards Stratford drive and towards the public footpath and access to drives for high street residents impacting on the use of the area and visibility. Where the bushes/trees have overgrown so much up to the point of the kerb, this means this whole area cannot be walked on anymore causing access issues also. Not sure how being overgrown to this level doesn’t justify a repair? The area just to the opposite end of this patch has been maintained but for some reason not all the way to the steps and public footpath. The building site opposite have dumped their supplies on the public land also.

  • Please can I check on the status of this. The situation is still the same. The whole area is vastly overgrown. The last status was that finding land ownership was taking place. The trees and bushes were trimmed by the council today but on the other side. These are the same trees and bushes but the other side of them. Plus the grassland also. This is public land, it is not owned by any houses as it is part of the street. Please could this be rectified. It is vastly overgrown and cannot be accessed by foot at all now. The whole area was a really wide green space but now cannot be accessed at all.
