Investigating
The entire stretch of about 100 yards is dangerous
Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 22:28, Thu 22 August 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6388442.
This is so dangerous. The entire road has huge long potholes. It's been like it for months now. Someone will be badly injured as you go up the hill the road bends round to the right so when your suspension gives way or a steering arm snaps, you would go straight in to oncoming traffic.

This stretch of road A361 heading towards Chipping Warden from the M40 (is need of a major repair) the road surface is in poor condition, not only does this affect the handling of vehicles steering and suspension it is making car drivers, lorry drivers and other road users take evasive action. Not only can uneven surfaces damage vehicles it may cause drivers to swerve into oncoming traffic. Please can you look into this issue before someone is seriously injured.

On a previous report 5685493 you stated that this section of A361 would be resurfaced this year and by September/October. Is this still the case? If not, could I suggest that you carry out temporary pothole repairs, slow the traffic to 20mph and put up failed road surface signs. High risk of s serious accident here.

People driving down middle of road to avoid bad road conditions I don’t understand how this can’t be a priority when drivers are having to use the other side of the road to travel this needs looking at with immediate effect .

Can you PLEASE at least fill in the pot holes especially the one near the top of the hill. You keep saying the road is due to be resurfaced next year. My poor car probably won't make it until next year (driving up this hill). I have to drive along this road twice a day. The potholes are very deep. Can you at least fill the potholes please?????

Thus is dangerous now because traffic is driving on the wrong side of the road to avoid the holes it needs doing now.

Typical WNC response and reactiveness. Go across in Oxfordshire a couple of hundred yards and roads fixed but not with WNC. What do you do with the council tax not a lot but waste

Today there was a major accident on this stretch caused partly by the state of the road surface. Perhaps you should have completed this work before people had to be injured or killed.
