Potholes, condition of road terrible

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6397824.

The whole road from Naseby to Sibbertoft past the Battlesite memorial is awful, constantly trying to swerve to avoid potholes. Really dangerous and quite unnerving on a bike. The road really needs looking at from start to finish as a few potholes patches won't cut it.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, a pre-emptive defect has been raised. This means that the location does not currently meet West Northamptonshire Council's criteria as an urgent safety defect. However, the repair will be scheduled to be completed alongside other maintenance works in the local vicinity. We will continue to monitor the condition as part of our routine highway inspection schedule. Should you notice the defect worsening, please inform us via an update to your existing enquiry.
