Footpath covered overgrown hedges

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6439188.

The property on the corner of Tove Lane has allowed hedges to grow across the public footpath to the extent public have to walk on the grass. This is fine during summer months but as we are now approaching autumn and wet ground not so great.

  • Investigation: Completed (Reported to a third party) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that the vegetation is the responsibility of the landowner. In accordance with the WNC Network Management Plan, we will contact the landowner and request they cut back their vegetation within 14 days of receipt of our correspondence. We will reinspect the vegetation to ensure they have complied.
