Large Dip in Road
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6469465.
There is a very large dip in the middle of the road outside 91/93 Gordon Street. It has been getting deeper over time.
It is in the same spot there was pot hole several years ago so I am concerned that another pot hole is developing

Sorry. I've just realised I put pot hole when in fact it was where the sink hole was a few years ago

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, a pre-emptive defect has been raised. This means that the location does not currently meet West Northamptonshire Council's criteria as an urgent safety defect. However, the repair will be scheduled to be completed alongside other maintenance works in the local vicinity. We will continue to monitor the condition as part of our routine highway inspection schedule. Should you notice the defect worsening, please inform us via an update to your existing enquiry.

This dip in the road has got deeper over time and now its so deep when cars drive over it it touches the underside of cars, it needs doing asap with the volume of traffic using Gordon st it wont be long before it collapse's and injuring people i reported this months and months ago it needs doing now urgently

A works order has been raised which you can follow on FMS-6469465-1 and add updates. The expected completion date for these works will be 19/09/2025.
