Accident into safety railings

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6493563.

Metal safety railings by stream need replacing, accident happened cause of the nearby pot hole that was hit causing the car to spin round and hit the railings.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, a pre-emptive defect has been raised. This means that the location does not currently meet West Northamptonshire Council's criteria as an urgent safety defect. However, the repair will be scheduled to be completed alongside other maintenance works in the local vicinity. We will continue to monitor the condition as part of our routine highway inspection schedule. Should you notice the defect worsening, please inform us via an update to your existing enquiry.
