This blocked drain is causing water flow down to the bottom of the left hand arm of Brook Court. The drain there is already blocked & overwhelmed & the flood water is seriously affecting 7 & 8 Brook Court. It’s going to get worse with more rain coming.

Investigation: Ongoing (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. West Northants received approximately 140mm of rain over a short period of time, resulting in severe flash flooding in many areas. The heavy rainfall had the ability to overwhelm the surface water drainage system. If your report is a repeat flooding incident, please could update this enquiry with further information, so that we can investigate. If this is not a repeat incident, we will close the enquiry after 7 days and the highways team will continue to monitor the location

This is a repeat issue, the drain often blocks in heavy rainfall creating a torrent running down Brooke Court and exacerbating the drains at the end of the roads inability to cope in heavy rainfall. The whole system becomes overwhelmed both the rain water and brown water drains causing repeat issues for the houses at the end of the road.
