Rainwater flooding from the road
Reported via mobile in the Blocked - flooding private property category anonymously at 13:08, Sun 22 September 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council 18 hours, 59 minutes later. ref: 6499684.
The drain in front of my property has now been unblocked twice within a couple of months. Today being the latest. The road outside my house is much higher than the path and my drive. I suspect this is the reason for the flooding. Rain is flooding into my property. I am requesting an urgent response to the problem please as this is extremely worrying for me and I am struggling to stop the water each time it happens.

Following the phone call I made earlier I have not had any response. I have checked the blocked drain outside my home and after having someone out yesterday to clear it the water level is going up again. It is more than half way up with water still flowing in.

The road outside the customers house has a semi blocked drain that does not clear the rainwater away outside her property. Also the drain across the road is permanently blocked and nothing goes down it. Also there is a traffic slowing bump that collects the water and diverts it down her driveway and floods her property. Road has also been raised and the camber is up above the pavement. Needs very urgent attention from an engineer. Road needs to be restructured and the kerb or something needs to be raised to protect her property. This has been done up the road where the resurface has caused a similar problem. Highways and complaint email addresses have been provided as customers Request. She requests a call urgently
