Drain blocked & overflowing

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6500957.

This drain has now been blocked for the past 6 months. Any time it rains, this drain overflows. It has been suggested by a surveyor that this is likely causing damp issues in the cellar of the adjacent property. I (the property owner) have also had advice from Anglian Water to report this as it needs to be cleared out and the sewer jetted.

When observed in dry periods, this drain is filled with debris and the exit cannot be seen. It

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the photo/s and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 38 days.
