Bridleway gate
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6503379.
FixMyStreet ref: 6256938 This bridleway gate still doesn't stay open long enough to get horses through safely. The hanging weight makes it close while you're trying to get through it. You have to hang off the side of your horse to hold onto the gate to keep it open. No livestock on either side of the gate

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - We can confirm that the fields are used for grazing, although no stock is there at present. Upon inspection the field gate was found to be open. The bridleway gate stays open when opened fully, and closes in less than 8 seconds if not held open by the ground level.
We will however request that the contractors inspect the gate and make adjustments, if possible.
