Flooded road and private property - Tintern Ave, Npton

Flooding caused at 45 Tintern Avenue, NN5 7BY - drain opposite side of the road next to the park is blocked and the water is gushing over the road and into the neighbours dropped kerb and then into this customers alley way and into her garden - there is so much water there at the front of the house - she said it is difficult to get out - she has to go and pick children up from school and is worried about water coming into her house.

  • Investigation: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. West Northants received approximately 140mm of rain over a short period of time, resulting in severe flash flooding in many areas. The heavy rainfall had the ability to overwhelm the surface water drainage system. If your report is a repeat flooding incident, please could update this enquiry with further information, so that we can investigate. If this is not a repeat incident, we will close the enquiry after 7 days and the highways team will continue to monitor the location
