Flooded again

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 15:25, Monday 23 September 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6505357.

Flooded AGAIN. How long will it take the council to come out again? Do us a favour and keep this open. The water will be back tomorrow as we live in England and it rains. Incredible really.

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting a fault. Officers will now investigate the concerns and this may take up to 5 working days. If you believe that your concerns are urgent then please phone us.

    State changed to: Investigating

Posted by West Northamptonshire Council at 15:26, Monday 23 September 2024

  • Investigation: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. West Northants received approximately 140mm of rain over a short period of time, resulting in severe flash flooding in many areas. The heavy rainfall had the ability to overwhelm the surface water drainage system. If your report is a repeat flooding incident, please could update this enquiry with further information, so that we can investigate. If this is not a repeat incident, we will close the enquiry after 7 days and the highways team will continue to monitor the location

  • Why do you insist on closing this down? You know that this is a reoccurring issues it had been for 4-5 years. It’s flooded 4 more times since your pointless response. Do not close this down. It’s currently flooded AGAIN. Sort it out.
