    State changed to: Investigating

  • Investigation: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. West Northants received approximately 140mm of rain over a short period of time, resulting in severe flash flooding in many areas. The heavy rainfall had the ability to overwhelm the surface water drainage system. If your report is a repeat flooding incident, please could update this enquiry with further information, so that we can investigate. If this is not a repeat incident, we will close the enquiry after 7 days and the highways team will continue to monitor the location

  • Hi there. This is an on going issue with this stretch of the road that floods every time we have heavy rain or any rain for that matter for the last 15 to 20 years that I have lived here. The drains were cleared earlier this week when we had all the heavy rain. However the problem continues. I personally believe that the issue itself is down in the main sewer that has either a blockage or a restricted flow that's causing water to back up. I think it is bout time that this problem is looked into with a more permanent fix.
