Blocked drain flooding gardens at bottom of Barnard Close
Reported via desktop in the Blocked - flooding private property category anonymously at 10:51, Tue 24 September 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6508744.
Both of the drains at the turning circles/forks at the bottom of Barnard Close are blocked and are presently full as water drains down the close as it is on an incline. This flooded residents' gardens during yesterdays rain. Also water comes out of the manhole cover in the middle of the road (what three words: direct.tricky.edges) and flows into the drains.

Investigation: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. West Northants received approximately 140mm of rain over a short period of time, resulting in severe flash flooding in many areas. The heavy rainfall had the ability to overwhelm the surface water drainage system. If your report is a repeat flooding incident, please could update this enquiry with further information, so that we can investigate. If this is not a repeat incident, we will close the enquiry after 7 days and the highways team will continue to monitor the location
