Blocked drain on Howard Lane near greville close. Caused damage to house on the corner inside and out!!

    Blocked drains, this area of road always floods during rain. The drains are insufficient to cope with any rainfall. During flash flooding this week the overflowing rain water caused flood damage to homes. Urgent attention is required.

  • Investigation: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. West Northants received approximately 140mm of rain over a short period of time, resulting in severe flash flooding in many areas. The heavy rainfall had the ability to overwhelm the surface water drainage system. If your report is a repeat flooding incident, please could update this enquiry with further information, so that we can investigate. If this is not a repeat incident, we will close the enquiry after 7 days and the highways team will continue to monitor the location
