Blocked rain water drain and gullies

Reported via mobile in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 14:11, Thursday 26 September 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6519433.

All 3 drains are blocked as well as the connecting gullies with the water coming out of the drains rather than flowing away. It makes it very difficult to walk down Great Lane without Wellington boots ( there is no footpath)

  • Investigation: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. West Northants received approximately 140mm of rain over a short period of time, resulting in severe flash flooding in many areas. The heavy rainfall had the ability to overwhelm the surface water drainage system. If your report is a repeat flooding incident, please could update this enquiry with further information, so that we can investigate. If this is not a repeat incident, we will close the enquiry after 7 days and the highways team will continue to monitor the location
