Traffic Signals cause traffic to queue back onto roundabout

Reported via desktop in the Request Timing Review category anonymously at 10:44, Friday 27 September 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6522908.

The traffic signals close to the roundabout are in more frequent use with the school open. The positioning of the signals means that when the lights are on red, traffic is stationary and queueing around the roundabout.

A second set is located a very short distance down the road, yet to be commissioned, when these are commissioned this will cause further issues.

Please could the set by the round about be decommissioned and the set further down be commissioned in there place as this will help alleviate the pressure on the roundabout and consquent backed up traffic on the A43.
