Very old stone bridge under A428 Harlestone Road, full of brick and rubble after flooding

Reported via desktop anonymously at 10:25, Monday 30 September 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council 1 minute later. ref: 6532201.

There is a stream that runs under the A428 and there is a very very old stone archway that allows the water to run under the A428. After the heavy flooding and the subsiding of water there was a lot of brick and stone rubble under the arch that wasn't there before. This area has very old stone ways from long ago and the archway is that era as well. Customer is concerned it will collapse. Very heavy lorries etc use this part of A428 and the road may give way under them. Note: this report is also calling into hub as emergency.
