Timing of WigWags

Reported via desktop in the Request Timing Review category anonymously at 13:10, Tuesday 1 October 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6538014.

The following report was made in early September and resolved, but the wigwags have now defaulted to the shorter settings, which does not allow time for the traffic to stop, which delays the fire engine from leaving the station. Please could somebody please review again. Thank you.

"FixMyStreet ref: 6413330.

Please could somebody review the timing of the wigwags at Mereway Fire Station. There is too great a delay between them operating and traffic stopping, to enable safe deployment of fire vehicles. We have had another incident today which resulted in a near miss, due to traffic not stopping at the lights. Thank you."
