Salcey Rise road surface is now down to the subbase in many places and is in dangerous condition and damage to vehicles suspension, bodywork and tyres and children falling off their bikes is very real. This needs to be finally sorted out! The paths in places are not much better.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 38 days.

  • What a farce. The road surface has been patched in places - badly - and now it just looks a total bodge job - so the repairs won't last very long and in fact watching 5 men (mostly on their phones for the 4 days) made me think it would have been quicker and cheaper to just resurfaced the whole Close. Very unsatisfactory and a poor use of council funds. Still bad in places as are the pavements. Please reconsider doing a proper job.
