Dangerous ground between the uprights
Reported via mobile in the Gate - Damaged/ Missing category anonymously at 09:12, Fri 18 October 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6630135.
Now the main gate here is closed for the winter (a very good thing), motor bikes and horses share the space between the upright posts. The ground is very slippery and it’s not possible to tell how deep the water is so horses could slip, flounder and fall against the uprights. Could stone be added as a filler to stabilise the ground?

The council have done their best to improve this but they were not helped by floods and muddy access. They may need to come back and do more eventually but they won’t be able to get another truck to the site until we get sustained dry weather.
