Blocked drain needs fixing - causes flooding due to heavy rain

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the flooding has been assessed and requires a Priority 4 response. We will schedule drainage investigation work to be completed within 26 weeks. When the investigation has been completed, we will inform you of our findings and course of action. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 is 38 days.

    There are a total of three drain covers that show as completely blocked. This is causing a very large amount of water to surge down Houghton Hill and gather at the bottom to completely block the footpath.
