Very deep hole in verge

Reported via desktop in the Flooding category by Tim Cross at 09:49, Monday 28 October 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council 5 hours, 20 minutes later. ref: 6665981.

This was reported to you on 3rd October, you passed it to Anglian Water who now tell me it is not their responsibility. They only deal with fresh water supplies and sewage. The hole is dangerous and every time, during heavy rain, water gushes out of it. You have backfilled it twice but the force of the water blows it out. The old stone and slab gulley has partially collapsed and it needs excavating and repairing appropriately. Last time it happened further down the lane you put a perforated pipe lining in it with great success. There is an adjacent brick wall which is having it's foundation undermined due to the water flow and there signs of cracking. Some safety barriers would be helpful.
